Only 60 Km away from Center of Hanoi, Ba Vi National park – located in Tan Linh commune, Ba Vi district, Hanoi - is a beautiful national park with diversity of fauna and flora.
Total area of Ba Vi national park is 11.372 ha with 2752 ha of primary forest from 100 to 1296 meter height. Ba Vi national park at the majestic Ba vi mountain has typical tropical and subtropical flora system in Vietnam. Due to the high mountain terrain and the large area of forest giving Ba Vi a cool climate, especially is in summer. In winter, Ba Vi national park has a different beauty with the mountains are hugged by white cloud. Ba Vi is a group of 6 mountain peaks, the highest one is Vua (King) mountain with 1296 meter height where has the Ho Chi Minh temple also called Uncle Ho temple.
Ba Vi national park is the green lung of Ha Noi and also the home for many species of wild animal, including many rare species that was listed on Red list of Vietnam. According to statistics of the scientists, Ba Vi national park has 812 higher plants and 15 rare plants as Green spruce (Calocedrus macrolepis), woody fern (Cyatheales) and so on. The national park has 45 species of animal, 115 species of bird, 27 species of amphibians, 61 species of reptile, 86 species of insect with 23 rare species that was listed on Red list of Vietnam as golden pangolin, flying squirrel, peacock...
