Ta Van Giay village located at halfway Muong Hoa valley with 40 Giay families and two thirds of them are doing homestay service. Unstudied, in the traditional wooden house, homeowners only need to purchase extra cushions, blankets and pillows and then they can do the homestay service. Some families with better economic conditions, Owner can arrange the rattan chairs and a coffee table for the guest to enjoy the coffee and the Mountain View in the morning. The Ta Van Giay village people always smile with the willingness to welcome tourists stopped to rest in their house or porch even the guests do not stay over night.

This area also has many local special dishes: Thang Co, Khang Nai dried meat, pork, chicken, fish from river, corn cake Pau Po Cu…At night, depending on guest demands, the homeowner can organizes a campfire, fan dance or Khen dance (Khen is a local instrument).

Moon Garden homestay is located in a small village in outskirt of noisy and busy capital Hanoi – Ky Son village, Xuan Son commune, Son Tay district, Hanoi, just about 50 km away from the center of Hanoi.

Homestay service at Moon Garden Homestay is different from Ta Van Giay village in Sapa. Moon Garden Homestay has the private ancient houses; the homeowner family also lives here but in a different house. The guest will stay in their own ancient house but not staying together with the homeowner. It has four ancient houses for the guest with the lovely name: Frangipani house, Mango house, Pomelo house and Guava house. Moon Garden Homestay also has a house on stilt and a Moon Garden Hall. The houses are designed in traditional northern village style with the main material is wood, and the roof was made from scaly dragon tile. The furniture and décor also has traditional folk style with the wooden tables and couches, wooden lotus vase, distiches or circle window presenting for Yin and Yang. Staying in Moon Garden Homestay, the guest will have an overview of traditional architecture in Vietnam.

Moon Garden homestay is a typical model of Vietnam household with the garden to plant vegetable and fruit, the pond to grow the fish. The homeowner plants many kinds of vegetable and fruit here like morning glory, papaya, mango, pineapple, dragon fruit… they use the vegetable and fruit from the garden to serve the guest. Sometimes, the guest also can work at the garden with the homeowner if they have demand. The homeowner family here has many generations from grandparents, parents to the children. This is the typical family of Vietnam. All the family stays together to take care each other, the older teaches the younger and the younger show their piety to the older.
